I am Eric Young, and I run Eric's Mobile Auto Spa by myself here in the Crescenta Valley. This is exactly what happens when you book a detail and I pull up to your La Crescenta driveway.
When you reach out, the first thing I do is ask questions. What are you driving, how is the interior holding up, when was the last time it had real attention, and is there anything specific bothering you, like water spots on the glass or dog hair in the cargo area. Those answers tell me which package fits and how much time to block out. I would rather spend five minutes talking up front than show up with the wrong plan.
I schedule seven days a week, from 7:30am to 7:30pm, because most people in La Crescenta are juggling commutes, kids, and weekends that fill up fast. Early slots before work and evening slots after dinner are both normal for me. And if hosting a detail at home is not practical, you can arrange to bring the car to my shop instead. Either way, you get a confirmed time, not a vague window.
On the day of your appointment I arrive at the time we agreed on, introduce myself if we have not met, and take a walk around the car with you. That walkthrough matters. I want you to point out the things you care about, and I want to flag anything I see, like a scratch that will need more than a wash or a headlight lens that has gone cloudy. Then I set up in your driveway and get to work.
I treat your property the way I treat the car. I keep my gear contained, I stay out of the flower beds, and I leave the driveway cleaner than I found it. You do not need to hover. Most customers say hello, hand me the key, and go back to their morning. I will come find you when it is time for the final walkthrough.
An Interior Only Detail starts at $149 for a sedan and covers the cabin from the headliner down: thorough vacuuming, upholstery cleaning, carpet shampoo and extraction where it is needed, steam cleaning for grimy touch points like cup holders and door pockets, and leather cleaning and conditioning if your car has it. If your seats have survived a few years of school runs and errands around town, this is usually the reset they need.
The Standard Interior/Exterior Detail starts at $189 for a sedan and adds the exterior: a proper hand wash, wheels and tires, door jambs, and wax protection. The Standard Interior/Exterior Detail is priced by vehicle size, and it goes deeper on both sides of the car, including clay bar treatment to pull embedded grit out of the paint before the sealant goes on. Exterior only and eco details are quoted based on the vehicle.
Beyond the packages, I handle the specific problems that come up in the foothills: headlight restoration starting at $50, water spot removal, black trim restoration, pet hair removal, odor treatment for smoke or mildew, engine detailing, and light scratch and scuff removal with machine polishing. If you are not sure what your car needs, describe it to me and I will tell you honestly, including when something is not worth paying for.
Park on any street off Foothill Boulevard and you will see the same story on half the cars: mineral spots baked onto the glass and lower panels from sprinkler overspray. Our foothill water is hard, and once the sun cooks those droplets onto the paint, a regular wash will not touch them. Water spot removal is one of my most common requests here, and the earlier you deal with it, the easier it comes off.
Then there is everything the mountains send down. Fire season leaves a film of ash that is abrasive if you wipe it dry. Spring dumps pollen on everything that sleeps outside. A Saturday at Deukmejian leaves trail dust on the rocker panels and dog hair woven into the cargo carpet. And the daily grind on the 210 adds brake dust and road grime that builds up faster than most people expect. None of it is a crisis. All of it is exactly what a detail is for.
Plan on roughly two hours for an interior only job and three to five hours for the bigger packages, depending on the size of the vehicle and the condition it is in. A well kept sedan moves quickly. A three row that has been hauling kids and a dog since last summer takes longer, and I would rather take the time than rush it. I will give you an honest estimate when we book so you can plan your day.
From you, I need three things: a place for the car to sit in your driveway, the key, and a few minutes at the start and finish. You do not need to be home in between. When you book I will ask a couple of quick questions about the location so I can show up with the right setup, and if your situation calls for it, my eco waterless approach handles spots where a traditional wash is not practical. A fresh detail is easiest to keep if you protect it. The wax or sealant I apply buys you real protection against sun and water spots, but nothing lasts forever in this climate. Quick rinses of sprinkler overspray before it bakes, a shade spot when you can find one, and not letting ash sit on the paint will stretch the results considerably. None of it takes more than a few minutes a week.
For people who want the car simply handled, I offer monthly maintenance plans that keep the vehicle at a consistent level for less than starting over from zero twice a year. And if you have a question about your specific car, call or text me at (818) 797-5396. I will give you a straight answer whether or not you end up booking anything.
