"In short: Eric was able to remove a deeply absorbed food stain and foul odor from a hard to reach spot in my car.
Full story, narrated by yours truly: I offered to pick up some Cuban catering for a friends birthday over the weekend, thinking all would go well. When I could not fit the aluminum casserole dish full of delicious Ropa Vieja on the floor of my car, I decided to sit it as flat as possible in my backseat. Since my seats are leather ( or pleather idk) I thought it would be no big deal if any of the juice spilled…. So wrong.
After 40 minutes of driving to the birthday party, we arrived to realize the ropa vieja juices (garlic, onion, meat, tomato, oil in delicious combination) managed to seep into a section of my seat that I did not even know existed (pics included show the spot where all the red juice was).This juice found the ONLY penetrable fabric in my car and just made itself a home. Once I parked and realized my mistake, I did everything I could to spot clean all the juice out. No matter what I did, the white paper towels kept coming out orange from the crevices I couldn't reach; worse yet, the upholstery was fully marinated at this point. I cracked some windows and poured some baking soda over the whole area as a last ditch effort to absorb some smell. I didn't need to leave the house for 4 days, so I completely forgot about the baking soda and had left it sitting for FOUR DAYS in California heat. I returned to my car on Wednesday and opened the drivers door to be slapped in the face by an odor that can only be described as unholy. I vacuumed up the baking soda to no avail. The once delicious ropa vieja had invited probably billions of nasty fermenting bacteria to live in my seat cushion FOREVER (or so I thought).
In my grief and desperation I googled "Auto detailing near me" with a prayer that I would not have to sell my right arm and kidney for a tolerable smell when I sat in the car. Eric came up as recommended near me and had wonderful Google reviews. His website was also incredibly informative and easy to navigate. From his website, I requested a quote for stain and odor removal and had a response within 2 hours. It was just my luck that Eric happened to see my request come in and was able to squeeze me in the next day. His quote and response explained exactly what could reasonably be done in situations like this including steam cleaning the stained area and treating the odor with ozone that would kill the foul smelling bacteria. I believe the Ozone treatment is done over a long period and required me to leave my car overnight. Again, I have never needed car detailing before, but I needed this smell GONE. I trusted my gut instinct that Eric could get the job done, and dropped off my car to his shop at 6 PM Thursday. It was ready for pickup by noon on Friday. Eric was incredibly communicative and gave me an hour warning phone call before it was time to pick it up.
Eric explained that he was able to get into the hard to reach little holes of the seat to clean up all of the nastiness (which I feared would not be possible). He steamed the remaining red juice out of the upholstery, and finally was able to treat it with ozone. With all of that, the smell was gone and my car was left smelling BRAND NEW!!
Eric generously washed/waxed my car's exterior, and cleaned the entire interior; he said it was "just so you could be proud of the car you're driving." He did this quietly without bragging or asking for more money than we agreed on (I did not budget for a full interior detail). He truly cares about the detailed service he delivers.
Eric is an incredibly honest and hard working car detailer who goes above and beyond to make your car something you can be proud of. Whatever you need the detailing for, I cannot recommend him enough. Especially if you find yourself in a tough spot like I did, he will craft a tailored solution to get you back on the road feeling refreshed."
I was unaware of what took place before I was notified about spilled soup with tomatoes and beef that penetrated the rear seats and created an awful smell in the car. But I knew that removing it would be a priority before the bacteria continued to spread. When working to solve an odor problem, I physically clean the area to remove the original source of the problem. Once the area and all surrounding areas are thoroughly clean and dry, I begin running ozone in the vehicle in 20 minute sessions. In between sessions, the car is aired out for 15-20 minutes. This special birthday soup required many sessions to kill the bacteria causing the smell. The reward is when the car owner (Alyssa, in this case) is amazed and thankful.

"A paint contractor working on my building didn't drape properly and my SUV got over- sprayed, a fine mist of black paint on my white car. The company said to have the car detailed, but I was doubtful. I looked up Eric and emailed. He was quick to reply and set up an appointment to inspect the car that afternoon. He came 5 minutes early and had test supplies ready to see if he could get it off. He figured out a plan. The next morning he had the estimate ready. It was detailed and explained the costs perfectly. Once the paint company approved the estimate he texted to schedule quickly so the paint didn't bake on to the car. He was flexible with my schedule and had it done in about 3/4 of the time he anticipated that it would take. The car looks better than before it was sprayed. I recommended him to the neighbors who also got sprayed. They are happy with the results too. Friendly, efficient, and a great value.

Thank you, Keith! Paint overspray can be tricky! The type of paint, how long it has been on the vehicle, and if the vehicle has been in direct sunlight are factors when determining a gameplan for removal. Additionally, overspray on a plastic grill or trim piece is different from glass, is different than overspray on the painted panels. Solvents may remove paint, but they are likely to lighten or change the texture of plastic or rubber trim. Thanks for having your Toyota available for me to work on. I truly appreciate your support!

"I can't recommend Eric's detailing enough! I've tried a few other companies over the years, but none have been as thorough. Eric somehow managed to get my husky's fur (PILES of it) out from the crevices, which has been a near impossible task for me. Between the dog hair and all the dirt I track in from hiking and camping, my car is usually a disaster. Eric even took extra time to carefully remove hardened tree sap from the paint without damaging the clear coat, which I really appreciated. When he finished, it barely looked like the same vehicle, the exterior was glossy, and even the black trim looked refreshed. Beyond the great work and attention to detail, Eric is friendly, easy to communicate with, and takes real pride in what he does. "Such an amazing experience! My 20+ year old truck needed a lot of love and Eric was just the right guy for the job. My truck had not been detailed in YEARS and hadn't been fully washed in at least a year. Dirt, grime, husky dog fur, basically anything you could think of making your car a mess that was my situation (I was too embarrassed to take before photos; yes it was that bad) By the end of it all Eric made my truck good as new! "Eric did an amazing job of spiffing up my car like it hadn't been spiffed up since I bought it. He not only cleaned and waxed the car, he washed it inside and out, shined up all trim and tires and shampooed the carpet and upholstery. But the coup de grace was how he buffed out several deep scratches on the lift gate caused by the garage door and wax shined it so it was just as shiny as the rest of the car. It looked ALMOST as good as it did when it was brand new. Every penny I paid him was worth it because it had gotten to the point that I was embarrassed about the car. Now I am proud again. "SMOKE REMOVAL!!!! We just bought a Subaru because our other Subaru unfortunately was totaled in a car wreck at the beginning of the year. Very nice preowned, 1 owner. What the dealer failed to disclose was that the previous owner was a smoker. I am extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke so I was able to tell there was a problem. By this time however, the contracts were signed and my husband had already bought the car. I thought all was lost. The smoke smell didn't bother my husband, but sure bothered me. I wondered, How in the world can we get rid of this?? Then here comes Eric, to the rescue!! I honestly wasn't sure if he could take care of this problem, but he sure did!! He used an Ozone Generator. We left the car with him over the weekend, and now it really is like brand new! No nasty smoke smell! Hallelujah! BTW, he also re-detailed the car inside and out. Amazing work. "Eric's Mobile Auto Spa was referred to me by my neighbors, and last year Eric Young came to my home to detail my car. It was 13 years old, black, dull, and had years worth of scratches, big and small. Eric worked for several hours, and to me the car looked beautiful by the end of that day. But Eric wasn't satisfied, so he came back the next day for another few hours. Afterward, my 13-year-old car looked brand new, inside and out! I sincerely couldn't believe what I was seeing.
